Jinks and his wife, Barbara, were
recognized for donating funds for a replica of a dinosaur,
Scelidosaurus, to a new dinosaur museum in southwestern Utah.
They were honored at a Chamber of Commerce luncheon on February 9, 2011 with the opening of the new dinosaur exhibit. This is the only complete replica of this dinosaur,
Scelidosaurus, in North America.
Jinks said, "I have always liked dinosaurs, and my wife Barbara Anne and I would really like to donate this to the City of St. George and to all the kids in southern Utah. I like unique things, and this certainly is unique. And this was an opportunity to share something rare and unusual with a lot of kids, particularly my nine grandkids."
Jinks is continually looking for opportunities to be involved in his community and help meet the needs of others around him.
